SCHEDULE
DAY 2
DAY 1: 10:00 AM TO 5:00 PM - Start time could change depending on the sunset time - Ground travel by car
Guidelines to build a photography project and a short introduction to travel photography, then we’ll go off the beaten track.
Starting from the Park of the Aqueducts and Via Appia Antica, then we’ll move to the EUR district where the architecture with its references to rationalism and the ancient Roman style gives us the chance to take metaphysical pictures. After we’ll visit the magnificent Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. We’ll continue on famous locations such as the Pyramid of Caius Cestius, Baths of Caracalla, Aventine Hill, and Circus Maximus.
NOTE: You can personalize the tour including the extraordinary examples of industrial archeology and street art of the Ostiense district and the Garbatella (also known as “Garden City”, a jewel that combines the popular, rural, and working spirit with architectural research).

DAY 1 - Tivoli Villas - Unesco Heritage Sites
DAY 2: 1:00 PM TO 8:00 PM Start time could change depending on the sunset time
We’ll photograph the amazing Hadrian’s Villa and Villa d’Este in Tivoli.
Hadrian’s Villa was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, the Villa was built between 118 and 138 A.D. by the Emperor Hadrian in a lush and verdant oasis near Tivoli, the ancient Tibur. The Villa covered an area of at least 296 acres and included residential buildings, thermal baths, nymphaea, pavilions, and gardens. The architectural and sculptural decorations of the villa were extraordinarily lavish and have been the subject of feverish and systematic research from as far back as Renaissance times.
Villa d’Este with its palace and garden, is one of the most remarkable and comprehensive illustrations of Renaissance culture at its most refined. Its innovative design along with the architectural components in the garden (fountains, nymphaea, grottoes, water themes, and an organ that produces audible effects created by water) make this a unique example of an Italian 16th-century garden. The Villa d’Este, one of the first Giardini delle Meraviglie, was an early model for the development of European gardens.
